Process & Approach

This was a jointly funded project by PAIMAN, USAID, John Hopkins and JSI. Educast successfully established a 24/7 call center where we provided 10 e-doctors, efficiently working round the clock. Through toll free calls, the doctors were able to connect the patients to the OBGYN specialists and provide maternal and child health support for 24 districts.

Results delivered

PAIMAN was implemented in 24 districts of Pakistan in all 4 provinces as well as Azad Jammu & Kashmir, FATA agencies, and two frontier regions other than the tribal areas. Total population estimated to have benefited from these services, were noted to be approximately 30 million.
However, due to lack of coordination from the field staff, this project was put at halt after 10 months.
The targeted districts include: Punjab: Rawalpindi, Jhelum, D. G. Khan, Multan, Khanewal and Vehari – Sindh: Sukkur, Dadu, Khairpur – Balochistan: Jafferabad, Lasbela, Quetta, Sibi, Zhob, and Gwadar l KPK: Upper Dir, Buner, Charsadda, Peshawar, Mardan and D. I. Khan l Azad Jammu & Kashmir: Plundri and Bhimber – Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan: Kurrum and Khyber agencies and Frontier Regions of Kohat and Peshawar.
